Speeding up windows XP shutdown

Well, we all know that the main reason for performing system shutdown is to reset the operating system. Shutdown procedure needs to close the running programs on the system which is really a very time consuming process. And some time even system get hanged out in this way. There is an easy way to solve all this sort of problems:
Open REGEDIT from “Start->run->regedit”.
Expand the ‘Registry Editor tree’ and then navigate to “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\”
Edit the value of “Wait To Kill App Timeout” to 1000.
And then finally,
Edit the value of “HungAppTimeout” to 1000.
