Firefox allows almost anyone with minimal coding experience to create plugins and addons to make Firefox much better. But this sort of thing can lead to the greatest browser worse.
Stability, performance or security flaws are some important criteria which should be kept in mind while choosing a firefox extension. Here is a list of 10 avoidable firfox extensions:

1. FasterFox: This extension can lead to an incredible waste of bandwidth. The idea behind this is that if you are reading a page, while your system is idle, Fasterfox silently starts following links and downloading the destination pages. This will result in a total waste of bandwidth.

2. NoScript: This extension generally work as a advetiser. You can whitelist the sites you think are safe, and can also blacklist those who are not safe according to you. But for the average Web surfer this extension is not recommended at all.

3. Adblock: This extension attempts to block all online advertising. This extensions are not good for online publishers.

4. PDF Download: This extension allows PDF files to open in the external PDF viewer of their choice rather than the Adobe Reader plug-in for Firefox. But the problem with this extension is that it does not work when some websites redirects you to the PDF for tracking purpose.

5. VideoDownloader: The problem is that the extension has to connect to a Web site in order to work which is again a big problem in it.

6. Greasemonkey: If you are not familiar enough with JavaScript then just skip this extension.

7. Scribefire: This extension is a browser-based tool for writing blog posts. Most blogs already have a browser-based editor, so there is no need use this extension.

8. Trackmenot: This extension runs in the background while you surf, and sends search queries to Yahoo, Google and some other seach engines which is just a waste of time and resources.

9. Tabbrowser Preferences: This extension does not reset your tab settings, which this extension let you tweak after installing it, after uninstalling this extension.

10. Tabbrowser Extension: The developers of this extension suggest not to install it. So, you should skip this extension also.
